A Special Workshop Meeting of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education will be held on Monday, June 4, 2001, from 5-7 PM in the Board Room of the District's Administrative Offices, 1651 16th Street, Santa Monica, California.

If a member of the public wishes to address the Board of Education he/she must submit the "Request to Address" card to the Board Secretary prior to the discussion of the item. The cards are located in a plastic holder inside the entry to the Board Room.

III. Special Education Workshop

Assistant Superintendent Tim McNulty and the Student Services Department staff will present an overview of the role and responsibilities of the Pupil Services Division and the Special Education Division. The presentation will include but will not be limited to the staff response to the DAC report, identified priorities and accomplishments for the 2000/01 school year, priorities and projected activities for the 2001/2002 school year, Special Education fiscal issues, program development, program compliance and accountability.

This meeting will adjourn to the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education, Thursday, June 7, 2001, at 7:00 PM in the Board Room of the District Administrative Offices, 1651 16th Street, Santa Monica, California.
