Come and get some solid answers and facts on how to access the support you and your child will need to achieve...SUCCESS and EMPOWERMENT in the EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM.
HOW WE ESTABLISH OUR VILLAGE:
We vigorously recruit and retain members.
We recognize and reduce the barriers that impeded a diverse membership.
Our support system is actively accessible to our membership, students, parents, staff, and teachers.
We respond to public policy priorities which effect the welfare and education of African American Students.
OUR IMPACT IS SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE WE:
Advocate for education and equity.
Advance initiatives for Educational Equity.
Increase support of Scholarships and Scholarship Programs.
Interact with African American role models and professionals in business, education, and government.
WE INCREASE OUR VISIBILITY BY:
Using our visibility component that promotes priorities of positive self esteem and academic excellence and cultural awareness.
We sponsor programs that support equity on campus.
We support free speech on issues which effect student preformance, student conduct, and safety.
WE STRIVE TO CONSISTENTLY IMPROVE OUR INTERNAL EFFECTIVENESS BY:
Implementing changes in our organizational structure that are conducive of being self supportive.
Providing volunteer leadership opportunities and service documentation.
Hosting Volunteer recognition and awards.
Indentifying, encouraging and promoting leadership within and outside of the parent group.
